Four Fast Facts About the New Breitling Chronospace Evo B60
Breitling unveiled the new Chronospace Evo B60 this week. Breitling’s latest release will inevitably further boost the popularity of the Chronospace lineup. Here’s everything you need to know in four quick points.
1. The Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 Runs On The Brand New Breitling B60 In-House Movement
Not only is the Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 new, but so is the caliber that powers it. The Breitling B60 in-house movement is, in fact, a quartz caliber. But before you dismiss it, remember, this is Breitling—a leader in super efficient and reliable SuperQuartz movements. Identical to other Breitling SuperQuartz movements, the new B60 quartz caliber is ten times more precise than standard quartz movements and it is COSC-certified.
In addition to being conceived and produced entirely by Breitling, the Chronospace Evo B60 includes the brand’s first analog-display quartz movement. It’s a chronograph caliber that powers the 24-hour counter, central minutes, and split times.
There are two central chrono hands on the Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 watch, each color coded for clarity. The seconds hand is red-tipped while the minutes hand is white tipped. Furthermore, the 24-hour register sits in between 9 and 10 o’clock, the tenths of a second are indicated via a counter between 2 and 3 o’clock, and the small seconds subdial is at 6 o’clock. Also, tucked away between 4 and 5 o’clock is the date window for added practicality.
2. The Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 Is In Titanium
For the new Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 chronograph watch, the brand opted for ultra-light titanium. The case measures a generous 43mm in diameter coupled with the duo of pushers flanking the crown that makes the watch wear even bigger. The case measures 11.8mm thick and weighs a mere 60.4 grams without the strap. Tough, yet light.
On the case is the characteristic unidirectional Breitling style bezel marked to 60 minutes and featuring the four iconic rider tabs at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock. The quartet of tabs iconic to the brand is to ensure an easy grip for the wearer. The Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 is water resistant to 100 meters thanks in part to the screw-down winding crown with two gaskets.
3. The Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 Offers Two Dial Variations
The new Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 comes with a choice of a black dial with slate gray registers or a mariner blue dial with black registers. For optimal legibility, coating both the hands and oversized Arabic numerals is white luminescent material.
Standing proudly above the running seconds subdial at 6 o’clock is a crimson “CHRONOMETRE” label emphasizing the watch’s official chronometer rating. Breitling watches are after all, all about performance and technical superiority.
Protecting the face of the watch is glare-proof sapphire crystal for an even better view in almost all situations.
4. The Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 Boasts Four Strap Variations
Along with the two dial choices, the Breitling Chronospace Evo B60 also includes four different strap options.
First, there’s the robust Professional III titanium bracelet to match the case. Second, wearers can select a more classic leather strap in black, blue, gold, brown, or green leather. Third, for an even sportier style, there are the black and blue Diver Pro III rubbers straps. And finally, there’s the Breitling Military Anthracite canvas strap too.
The full titanium Chronospace Evo B60 will retail for $4,830.00 while the other strap options are available for even less. A Breitling watch for less than $5,000 is a fantastic deal indeed!
